Cambodia (official name: Kingdom of Cambodia, Khmer script: ព្រះរាជាណាចក្រកម្ពុជា), also known as Kam Pot (French: Cambodge) or Cao Mien (Sino-Vietnamese pronunciation of “Khmer”), is a country located on the Indochinese Peninsula in Southeast Asia.

Cambodia boasts hundreds of ancient temple towers from ancient times, highlighted by the Angkor complex, recognised by UNESCO as a World Wonder. You will admire the spirit and intellect of the Khmer people’s minds and hands that created countless lasting works for humanity. Tour Itinerary

DAY 01: Ho Chi Minh City – Siem Reap (B, L, D)

The guide picks you up at the meeting point at 4:05 am and departs for Cambodia. You will have breakfast in Trang Bang with the famous banh canh specialty. Complete border procedures at Bavet (Moc Bai) border gate between Vietnam – Cambodia and enter the land of temple towers.

9:00: Then continue along National Highway 1 through Prey Veng Province.

Arrive in Kompong Cham Province. Have lunch at a local restaurant, then continue to Siem Reap.

Stop to visit and take photos of the ancient bridge built thousands of years ago, recognised by UNESCO.

Enjoy the delicious palm sugar honeycomb cake typical of the Khmer people. (at your own expense)

Have dinner at a restaurant in Siem Reap. Return to the hotel, check in and rest.

DAY 02: Siem Reap (B, L, D)

After enjoying the breakfast buffet at the hotel.

The car takes the group to visit the south gate of Angkor Thom, a vast ancient temple with unique carvings and patterns on every cm2, tied to the cultural legend and development of the Khmer people.

The Bayon Temple with 4 faces and mysterious smiles, the Elephant Terrace, the King’s palace from the 12th century…. Have lunch and rest.

Continue to visit Angkor Wat Temple, one of the world’s wonders.

Visit Ta Prohm – a ruin of an ancient Khmer capital with strangely shaped giant trees, where Hollywood chose as a filming location for the movie Tomb Raider, and some other temples in the area…

Buy souvenirs bearing the distinctive mark of Angkor.

Conquer the 65m-high Bakheng Hill to watch the sunset as the sun gradually hides behind the great Angkor temple, an unforgettable memory for every traveller.

19:00: Enjoy a lavish buffet dinner at a restaurant and savour local dishes rich in indigenous character.

Free time to explore Siem Reap at night. The group can visit a Sky Bar to enjoy international classical music … at your own expense.

DAY 03: Siem Reap – Phnom Penh (B, L, D)

After breakfast at the hotel, depart for Phnom Penh. On the way, the group stops at the Insect Market to enjoy various fried, grilled, or wine-soaked spiders, cicadas, grasshoppers…

Arrive in the capital Phnom Penh, check into the hotel and have lunch. In the afternoon, visit the Cambodia Royal Palace, where the contemporary royal family lives and works, admire and pray for luck at the dazzling Gold Temple and Silver Temple with the famous Emerald of Cambodia and Thailand – a Golden Buddha statue with over 2000 embedded diamonds.

Then visit the Vietnam – Cambodia memorial, take photos at Independence Square, Four Faces River…

Enjoy a special dinner with delicious Suki hot pot, then visit and try your luck at Naga World casino, the most beautiful and luxurious 5-star casino in Cambodia.

Return to the hotel to rest or freely explore the capital Phnom Penh at night.

DAY 04: Phnom Penh – Ho Chi Minh City (B, L, …)

Have breakfast at the hotel, complete check-out procedures. Then visit the New Market to buy Cambodia specialties.

Enjoy a lunch buffet at the famous Tonle Basac restaurant with over 50 attractive dishes. The group departs back to Ho Chi Minh City.

Arrive at Moc Bai border gate, the company’s guide will help you complete procedures to return to Vietnam.

See you off at the original departure point. End of tour, farewell and see you again.

TICKET PRICE FOR CHILDREN:

• Children under 2 years old: 1,000,000 VND, self-sufficient for any additional services. Sleeps with family.
• Children from 2 to under 5 years old: 50% of adult tour price. Entitlements: meals, insurance. Sleeps with family.
• Children from 5 to under 11 years old: 75% of adult tour price. Entitlements: meals, seat on car, insurance. Sleeps with family, if separate bed desired, pay 100% of tour price.
• Children from 11 years old and above: charged at adult tour price.

TOUR REGISTRATION CONDITIONS:

• Passport valid for at least 6 months (counted to the tour end date).
• Guests with foreign nationality must have a valid Vietnam entry visa up to the departure date.
• Guests exempt from Vietnam visa must not exceed 90 days from entry date to tour end date.
• Please provide complete and accurate personal information such as: Full Name as per ID card or passport, phone number, contact address…

Please deposit:

• Adult: 3,000,000 VND,
• Child: 2,500,000 VND when registering for the tour and pay the full amount 2 days before departure.

TOUR CANCELLATION POLICY:

• Cancellation 3 days before: deposit is non-refundable.
• Cancellation 2 days before: penalty 50% of total tour price.
• Cancellation 1 day before: penalty 75% of total tour price.
• Cancellation within 24h before departure: penalty 100% of total tour price.
• Note: the above days are counted as working days only

NOTES:

• Guests with Vietnamese, Singaporean, Filipino, Lao, Malaysian nationality are exempt from Cambodia visa.
• In cases of force majeure such as: terrorism, riots, natural disasters, changes in airline or train schedules… Cambodia Travel Company will proactively change the itinerary or cancel the tour for the convenience and safety of guests and will not be responsible for compensation for any incurred costs.
• When going on the tour, please remember to bring original documents: Visa (for overseas Vietnamese guests), Passport.
• In case you are not allowed to exit or enter due to personal reasons or requests from the national security of the two countries Vietnam – Cambodia, Cambodia Travel Company will not be responsible and will not bear any incurred costs nor refund the tour price (in case you cannot go).
• The order of sightseeing points may change due to objective incidents such as: weather, traffic… but still ensure all points in the program are visited.
• In cases of force majeure such as: terrorism, riots, natural disasters, changes in airline or train schedules… Cambodia Travel Company will proactively change the itinerary or cancel the tour for the convenience and safety of Guests and will not be responsible for compensation for any incurred costs.
• Personal documents such as Passport, Visa, money, valuable assets…
• Please keep them yourself, or deposit at the hotel reception in case of risks. Cambodia Travel Company is not responsible for any case of lost documents or personal property.

A. INFORMATION TO KNOW WHEN TRAVELING TO CAMBODIA

a. Time and meeting point:

• On the morning of departure, please gather at 04:05 at the company office. At exactly 04:15 the car will depart, the company is not responsible if guests do not gather on time.
• When taking a taxi to the meeting point, please pay immediately inside the car, do not take out money or wallet to pay outside the car.
• Be careful with luggage, best to put it in the car trunk as soon as you meet the Tour Leader of Cambodia Travel Company.

c. Prepare before the trip:

• Please bring your Passport (original), if you are overseas Vietnamese or a foreign guest, bring 2 photos 4 x 6 to make Vietnam re-entry visa (if any).
• Pack light luggage for 4 days, should be divided into 2 types: carry-on luggage for items needed on the car, checked luggage in the car trunk should be in a moderate suitcase and avoid taking in and out to prevent confusion and loss.
• The company prepares a medical kit but you should bring your usual medications suitable for your constitution, or specific treatment medications (if you are under treatment).

B. SOME ADDITIONAL NOTES

a. Information and contact:

• Cambodia and Vietnam are in the same time zone.
• Cambodian currency: 1 usd exchanges for about 4000 riel; 1000 riel exchanges for 5500 VND; usd is widely used in Cambodia.
• Main means of transport is Tuk Tuk about 5 usd/ hour/ 5 people; motorbike taxi about 1 usd/ trip/ person.

• Please remember to get the phone number of the local Guide and the Company Tour Leader. When going out, remember to bring the hotel’s name card for convenient travel.

b. Customs:

• Vietnam Customs regulations: do not carry more than 3,000 usd in cash when exiting. Tax-free purchases when value is 300 usd or less. Do not carry more than 300gr of jewelry.
• If you bring a Camera, please declare it in the customs declaration to avoid being taxed when entering Vietnam.
• If bringing tapes or discs, they must be censored before taking abroad.

c. Weather and clothing:

• Cambodia’s weather is similar to Southern Vietnam, with 2 seasons rainy and sunny but little rain, prolonged hot sunshine, you should bring appropriate sun protection clothing and items.
• Should bring sports shoes or sandals with heel straps for convenient walking at sites with large grounds such as: Royal Palace, Angkor…
• On the afternoon of the 3rd day according to the itinerary visiting the Royal Palace, please wear formal attire, shirt not showing neck, must have sleeves, pants must reach ankles, skirt must be past knees.

d. Dining – entertainment – shopping:

• The taste of Cambodian dishes is similar to Southern Vietnam so you can be assured. In case of vegetarian or diet, please notify before registering for the tour.
• Eating outside is similar to Vietnam so you can enjoy cuisine outside the program, but should choose airy and hygienic restaurants.
• When shopping locally you can bargain.
• Going out at night is quite safe, but should avoid going alone and in deserted places, can go in groups by Tuk Tuk which is very interesting and fun.
• You can visit night entertainment areas such as: casinos (the famous Naga casino in Phnom Penh), backpacker street, music cafes, food streets… Local guide or Tour Leader will guide you.

e. General notes:

• For a complete tour, please follow the management of the local guide and Tour Leader of Cambodia Travel Company regarding meeting times, sightseeing…
• When sightseeing please stay with the group (guide holds the Cambodia Travel Company group flag) to listen to explanations and avoid getting lost.
• In the evening when going out, please leave Passport and valuables at the hotel (Passport can be given to Tour Leader).
• Be careful when moving around sightseeing points, do not stand or climb in unsafe places. Be careful when walking on the road, crossing the street. Families with children please watch and look after them carefully.
• Elderly guests with high blood pressure should not walk up Bakheng Hill, instead can ride an elephant up or stroll around other temples in the area.
• To keep the tourism environment clean and sustainable, please do not litter in public places, climb or write on relics. Always respect and preserve the cultural identity of the place you visit.
