Tour itinerary

DAY 1: KRATIE – PREAH VIHEAR (BREAKFAST, LUNCH, DINNER)

05:00: The vehicle and guide pick up guests at the meeting point and depart for Kratie via Hoa Lu border gate (Binh Phuoc); en route the group stops for breakfast in Chon Thanh. Continue along National Highway 13 to Hoa Lu border gate to complete exit procedures from Vietnam and enter Cambodia through Treapeng Sre border gate.

The group arrives in Kratie, then moves to Kampi and boards a boat to see the Irrawaddy freshwater dolphins, one of the world’s rare species.

Depart to visit the 100-pillar Pagoda – formerly the royal palace temple of the capital Sam Phu Borak during the Chen La period. Here there are 4 Buddhist pagodas facing 4 directions: Vihear Lao Pagoda facing West, Vihear Sar Sar Pagoda facing North, Vihear Kork Keut Pagoda facing East and Vihear Kork Pagoda facing South.

Guests arrive in Kratie and have lunch.

Afternoon: The group travels to Preah Vihear Province and has dinner at a restaurant. Then return to the hotel, check in and rest. Free time to explore Preah Vihear at night.

DAY 2: PREAH VIHEAR TEMPLE – SOPHEAK MIT WATERFALL (BREAKFAST, LUNCH, DINNER)

Guests have breakfast at the hotel, then visit Preah Vihear Temple, about 70km from Preah Vihear town.

Preah Vihear Temple: a temple located on the peak of the Dangrek mountain range in Cambodia, near the border with Thailand. Preah Vihear Temple was built in the 9th century to worship Shiva and was recognised by UNESCO as a World Cultural Heritage Site on 7 June 2008. It is Cambodia’s third World Heritage Site.

Previously, in 1954, Thailand occupied the temple after French troops withdrew from Cambodia; Cambodia objected and asked the World Court to rule. The Court considered not only cultural heritage but also technical expertise in demarcating the boundary. On 15/06/1962, the World Court ruled in favour of Cambodia and required Thailand to return all artefacts (including statues used for worship) that had been taken out of the temple.

Noon: Guests have lunch in Preah Vihear, then travel to Stung Treng Province to visit SoPheak Mit Waterfall along the flow of the Mekong River: SoPheak Mit is considered one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Cambodia and is the boundary between Laos and Cambodia.

Afternoon: Guests have a meal at a local restaurant. Check in and stay overnight in Stung Treng.

DAY 3: STUNG TRENG – SESAN STREAM – HCMC (BREAKFAST, LUNCH)

Guests have breakfast at a local restaurant, then travel to visit: the Sesan River, one of the major tributaries of the Mekong River, flowing through Stung Treng and Ratanakiri provinces.

Stung Treng Market: Guests can buy Cambodian specialties as gifts for relatives or friends such as: beef jerky, deer jerky, Mekong river fish…

Noon: The group has lunch at a restaurant, then departs back to Saigon.

Afternoon: Arrive in Saigon; the tour guide says goodbye and looks forward to meeting guests again on future tour programs.

Tour price excludes

  • Passport (valid for at least 6 months).
  • Personal expenses, telephone, laundry, drinking water in the hotel room, camera + camcorder fees.
  • Cambodia visa (for overseas Vietnamese & foreign nationals): 40 $/person. (Visa-free for holders of Vietnamese passports).
  • VIETNAM re-entry VISA fee (overseas Vietnamese, foreign nationals): 95 $/person.
  • VAT is not included.
  • Tips for the local guide and local driver (4usd/ guest/ day = 16usd).

Notes

TOUR PRICE: 6,850,000 VND/Guest

Cancellation policy:

  • Guests incur a 50% penalty after paying the deposit.
  • Cancellation 5 days before departure: guests incur a penalty of 50% of the tour price.
  • Cancellation 4 days before departure: guests incur a penalty of 75% of the tour price.
  • Cancellation 3 days before departure: guests incur a penalty of 100% of the tour price.

Important notes:

  • Guests’ passports must be valid for more than 6 months from the date of return.
  • Guests aged 75 and over are required to have a doctor’s certificate confirming they are fit to travel abroad and must be accompanied by a relative under 60 years old (in good health).
  • In case of force majeure due to weather, natural disasters, strikes, riots, sabotage, war, epidemics, flights delayed or cancelled due to weather or technical reasons, etc., making it impossible to continue the tour, the Company will refund the tour price to guests after deducting the costs of services already provided such as visa fees, etc., and will not be liable for any additional compensation.
