Tour itinerary

DAY 01: Ho Chi Minh City – Siem Reap (B, L, D)

The guide picks you up at the meeting point and departs for Cambodia. Enjoy breakfast in Trang Bang with its famous banh canh specialty.

Complete border procedures at Bavet (Moc Bai) border gate between Vietnam and Cambodia, entering the land of temples and towers.

9:00: Afterwards, continue along National Highway 1 through Prey Veng Province.
Arrive in Kampong Cham for lunch at a local restaurant, then continue the journey to Siem Reap.

Stop to visit and take photos of the ancient bridge built a thousand years ago and recognised by UNESCO.

Enjoy delicious palm sugar honeycomb cake, a specialty of the Khmer people. (at your own expense)

Have dinner at a restaurant in Siem Reap. Return to the hotel, check in and rest.

DAY 02: Siem Reap (B, L, D)

After enjoying a buffet breakfast at the hotel.

The vehicle takes the group to visit the South Gate of Angkor Thom, a vast ancient temple with sculptures and patterns unique in every square centimetre, tied to the culture and development of the Khmer people.

The four-faced Bayon Temple with its mysterious smiles, the Terrace of the Elephants, the King’s palace from the 12th century…. Have lunch and rest.

Continue to visit Angkor Wat Temple, one of the wonders of the world.

Visit Ta Prohm – a ruin of an ancient Khmer capital with strangely shaped giant trees, chosen by Hollywood as a filming location for the movie Tomb Raider, and several other temples in the area… Buy souvenirs bearing the distinctive Angkor mark.

Conquer the 65m-high Bakheng Hill and watch the sunset as the sun slowly disappears behind the great Angkor temple, an unforgettable memory for every traveller.

19:00: Enjoy dinner with the group featuring typical Khmer dishes.

Free time to explore Siem Reap at night.

DAY 03: Siem Reap – Phnom Penh (B, L, D)

After breakfast at the hotel, depart for Phnom Penh. On the way, the group stops at the insect market to try fried, grilled and wine-soaked spiders, tarantulas, grasshoppers… Arrive in the capital Phnom Penh, check in to the hotel and have lunch. In the afternoon, visit the Royal Palace of Cambodia, where the contemporary royal family lives and works, admire and pray for good luck at the splendid Golden Temple and Silver Pagoda with the famous Emerald Buddha of Cambodia and Thailand – a Golden Buddha statue adorned with more than 2,000 diamonds.

Then visit the Vietnam – Cambodia memorial, take photos at Independence Square, the Four Faces River…

Enjoy a special dinner with delicious Suki hot pot, then visit and try your luck at Naga World casino, the most beautiful and luxurious 5-star casino in Cambodia.

Return to the hotel to rest or freely explore the capital Phnom Penh at night

DAY 04: Phnom Penh – Ho Chi Minh City (B, L, …)

Have breakfast at the hotel, complete check-out procedures. Then visit the New Market to buy Cambodian specialties. Enjoy a lunch buffet at the famous Tonle Bassac restaurant with more than 50 appealing dishes.

The group departs back to Ho Chi Minh City. Upon reaching Moc Bai border gate, the company guide will help guests with procedures to re-enter Vietnam.

See guests off at the original departure point. End of tour, farewell and hope to see you again.

TICKET PRICE FOR CHILDREN:

• Children under 2 years old: 1,000,000 VND, pay for any additional services themselves. Share bed with family.
• Children from 2 to under 5 years old: 50% of adult tour price. Entitlements: meals, insurance. Share bed with family.
• Children from 5 to under 11 years old: 75% of adult tour price. Entitlements: meals, seat on the vehicle, insurance. Share bed with family; if a separate bed is desired, pay 100% of the tour price.
• Children from 11 years old and above: charged at the adult tour price.

TOUR BOOKING CONDITIONS:

• Passport valid for at least 6 months (counted to the tour end date).
• Guests with foreign nationality must have a Vietnam entry visa valid up to the departure date.
• Guests eligible for Vietnam visa exemption must not exceed 90 days from the date of entry to the tour end date.
• Please provide complete and accurate personal information such as: Full Name as per ID card or passport, phone number, contact address…

Guests please pay a deposit:

• Adult: 3,000,000 VND,
• Child: 2,500,000 VND when booking the tour and pay the full amount 2 weeks before the departure date.

TOUR CANCELLATION POLICY:

• Cancellation 3 days before: deposit is non-refundable.
• Cancellation 2 days before: penalty of 50% of the total tour price.
• Cancellation 1 day before: penalty of 75% of the total tour price.
• Cancellation within 24h before departure time: penalty of 100% of the total tour price.
• Note: the days mentioned above are counted as working days only

NOTES:

• Guests with Vietnamese, Singaporean, Philippine, Lao or Malaysian nationality are exempt from Cambodia visa.
• In cases of force majeure such as: terrorism, riots, natural disasters, changes in airline or train schedules… Cambodia Travel Company will proactively change the itinerary or cancel the tour for the convenience and safety of customers and will not be responsible for compensating any additional costs.
• When joining the tour, please remember to bring original documents: Visa (for overseas Vietnamese guests), Passport.
• In the event that guests are not permitted to exit or enter due to personal reasons or the national security requirements of the two countries Vietnam – Cambodia, Cambodia Travel Company will not be responsible and will not bear any additional costs nor refund the tour price (in the case that guests cannot travel).
• The order of sightseeing points may change due to objective incidents such as weather, traffic… but will still ensure all points listed in the programme are visited.
• In cases of force majeure such as: terrorism, riots, natural disasters, changes in airline or train schedules… Cambodia Travel Company will proactively change the itinerary or cancel the tour for the convenience and safety of Customers and will not be responsible for compensating any additional costs.
• Personal documents such as Passport, Visa, money, valuables… please keep them with you, or leave them at the hotel reception in case of risks. Cambodia Travel Company is not responsible for any case of lost documents or personal property.

A. USEFUL INFORMATION FOR TRAVELLING TO CAMBODIA

a. Meeting time and location:

• On the morning of departure, please gather at 04:05 at the Company office. The vehicle will depart at exactly 04:15; the Company is not responsible if guests do not gather on time.
• When taking a taxi to the meeting point, please pay the fare inside the vehicle; do not take out money or a wallet to pay after getting out of the vehicle.
• Be careful with your luggage; it is best to put it in the vehicle compartment as soon as you meet the Tour Leader of Cambodia Travel Company.

c. Preparation before the trip:

• Please bring your Passport (original); if you are an overseas Vietnamese or Foreign guest, bring 2 additional 4 x 6 photos for the Vietnam re-entry visa (if any).
• Pack light for 4 days; it is advisable to divide into 2 types: carry-on luggage for items needed on the vehicle, and luggage stored in the vehicle compartment which should be in a moderate suitcase and avoid taking in and out to prevent confusion and loss.
• The company prepares a medical kit, but guests should bring medicines they usually use that suit their constitution, or specific medications for their own treatment (if undergoing medical treatment).

B. A FEW MORE NOTES

a. Information and communication:

• Cambodia and Vietnam are in the same time zone.
• Cambodian currency: 1 USD exchanges for about 4,000 riel; 1,000 riel exchanges for 5,500 VND; USD is widely used in Cambodia.
• The main means of transport is Tuk Tuk at about 5 USD/ hour/ 5 people; motorbike taxi at about 1 USD/ trip/ person.

• Please remember to get the phone number of the local Guide and the Company Tour Leader. When going out, please bring the hotel’s name card for easy navigation.

b. Customs:

• Vietnam Customs regulations: do not carry more than 3,000 USD in cash when exiting. Duty-free goods are allowed when the value is 300 USD or less. Do not carry more than 300gr of jewellery.
• Guests bringing a Camera should declare it in the customs declaration form to avoid being taxed upon re-entry into Vietnam.
• If bringing tapes and discs, they must be censored before taking them abroad.

c. Weather and clothing:

• The weather in Cambodia is similar to Southern Vietnam, with two seasons, rainy and sunny, but little rain and prolonged heat; please bring appropriate clothing and sun protection items.
• It is advisable to bring sports shoes or sandals with heel straps for easy walking at sites with large grounds such as: Royal Palace, Angkor…
• On the afternoon of the 3rd day, according to the itinerary visiting the Royal Palace, please wear respectful clothing: shirts must not be low-cut, must have sleeves, trousers must reach the ankles, skirts must be longer than the knees.

d. Dining – entertainment – shopping:

• The taste of food in Cambodia is similar to Southern Vietnam, so you can be assured. For vegetarian or diet meals, please inform us before booking the tour.
• Eating and drinking outside is similar to Vietnam, so you can enjoy cuisine outside the programme, but should choose airy and hygienic restaurants.
• When shopping locally, you can bargain.
• Going out at night is quite safe, but avoid going alone or to deserted places; going in a group by Tuk Tuk is very interesting and fun.
• You can visit nightlife areas such as: casinos (the famous Naga casino in Phnom Penh), the Backpacker area, music cafés, food streets… The local Guide or Tour Leader will guide you.

e. General notes:

• To ensure a complete tour, please follow the management of the local Guide and the Tour Leader of Cambodia Travel Company regarding gathering times, sightseeing…
• When sightseeing, please stay with the group (the Guide holds the Cambodia Travel Company group flag) to hear the commentary and avoid getting lost.
• In the evening when going out, please leave your Passport and valuables at the hotel (the Passport can be left with the Tour Leader).
• Be careful when moving around sightseeing points; do not stand or climb in unsafe places. Be careful when walking on the road and crossing the street. Families with children please watch and look after the children carefully.
• Elderly guests or those with high blood pressure should not walk up Bakheng Hill; instead, they can ride an elephant up or stroll around other temples in the area.
• To keep the tourism environment clean and sustainable, please do not litter in public places, climb or write on relics. Always respect and preserve the cultural identity of the places you visit.
