Tour itinerary

DAY 1: HO CHI MINH CITY – SIEM REAP (B, L, D)

04h05: The guide picks up guests at the meeting point in District 1 and departs for Cambodia. Breakfast at a restaurant with the famous Trang Bang banh canh specialty.

At the Moc Bai – Bavet border gate between Vietnam and Cambodia, we complete immigration procedures.
You will be welcomed with a special ceremony performed by Apsara dancers along with surprising and delightful gifts.

09h00: The Cambodian guide takes the group along National Highway 1 through Prey Veng province. We reach Kompong Cham province via the Japanese – Cambodia bridge spanning the Tonle Bat river.

Lunch at a local restaurant, then continue the journey to Siem Reap.

17h00: Arrive in Siem Reap, check in at the hotel and rest. Dinner and overnight stay in Siem Reap.

DAY 2: SIEM REAP – ANGKOR WAT – ANGKOR THOM – ELEPHANT TERRACE – TAP PROM’H TEMPLE (B, L, D)

Buffet breakfast at the hotel.

The car takes the group to visit the South Gate of Angkor Thom, a vast ancient temple with unique carvings and patterns on every square centimetre, tied to the culture and development of the Khmer people.

The Bayon Temple with its four faces and enigmatic smile, the Elephant Terrace, the royal palace of the King from the 12th century….

Lunch and rest.

Continue to visit Angkor Wat temple, one of the wonders of the world.

Visit Ta Prohm – a ruin of an ancient Khmer capital with strangely shaped giant trees, chosen by Hollywood as a filming location for the movie Tomb Raider, and several other temples in the area… Buy souvenirs bearing the distinctive mark of Angkor.

Conquer the top of the 65m-high temple to watch the sunset as the sun slowly disappears behind the mighty Angkor temple, an unforgettable memory for every traveller.

19h00: Dinner at a restaurant and enjoy traditional dishes rich in Khmer cultural identity. Afterwards, the car takes the group back to the hotel to freely explore the city of Siem Reap at night…

DAY 3: SIEM REAP – INSECT MARKET – ROYAL PALACE – SILVER PAGODA & EMERALD BUDDHA – NAGA WORLD CASINO (B, L, D)

Buffet breakfast at the restaurant, check out, depart for Phnom Penh.

On the way, the group stops at the insect market to enjoy fried, grilled spiders, crickets and grasshoppers, and liquor infused with them. Arrive in Phnom Penh, check in at the hotel and have lunch, then rest.

In the afternoon, visit the Royal Palace, residence of the contemporary royal family, and the resplendent Silver Pagoda & Emerald Buddha famous in Cambodia and Thailand, visit the Vietnam – Cambodia memorial, and take photos at Independence Square and the Four Faces River.

Dinner at a restaurant in Phnom Penh, then visit and try your luck at the Naga Resort casino 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️, the most beautiful and luxurious in Cambodia.

Return to the hotel to rest or freely explore the capital Phnom Penh at night.

DAY 4: PHNOM PENH – SIGHTSEEING AND SHOPPING AT THE CENTRAL MARKET – HO CHI MINH CITY (B, L,…)

Buffet breakfast at the hotel, check-out procedures. The group goes to the market, the large new market, to buy Cambodian specialties.

Lunch, then depart back to Ho Chi Minh City. At the Moc Bai border gate, the guide completes procedures for re-entry into Vietnam.

Take guests back to the original departure point. Tour ends, farewell and see you again.

TICKET PRICES FOR CHILDREN:

• Children under 2 years old: 1,000,000 VND, all services at their own expense if costs arise. Shares a bed with the family.
• Children from 2 to under 5 years old: 50% of the adult tour price. Entitlements: meals, insurance. Shares a bed with the family.
• Children from 5 to under 11 years old: 75% of the adult tour price. Entitlements: meals, seat on the vehicle, insurance. Shares a bed with the family; if a separate bed is required, 100% of the tour price applies.
• Children from 11 years old and above: charged at the adult tour price.

TOUR BOOKING CONDITIONS:

• Passport valid for at least 6 months (counting to the tour end date).
• Guests with foreign nationality must have a Vietnam entry visa valid up to the departure date.
• Guests eligible for Vietnam visa exemption must not exceed 90 days from the entry date to the tour end date.
• Please provide complete and accurate personal information such as: full name as per ID card or passport, phone number, contact address…

Guests are kindly requested to pay a deposit:

• Adults: 3,000,000 VND,
• Children: 2,000,000 VND when booking the tour, with full payment due 2 weeks before the departure date.

TOUR CANCELLATION POLICY:

• Cancellation 3 days before departure: deposit is non-refundable.
• Cancellation 2 days before departure: 50% penalty on the total tour price.
• Cancellation 1 day before departure: 75% penalty on the total tour price.
• Cancellation within 24h before departure time: 100% penalty on the total tour price.

NOTES:

• Guests with Vietnamese, Singaporean, Philippine, Lao or Malaysian nationality are exempt from Cambodia visa.
• In cases of force majeure such as: terrorism, riots, natural disasters, changes in airline or train schedules… Cambodia Travel Company will proactively change the itinerary or cancel the tour for the convenience and safety of guests and is not responsible for compensation of any arising costs.
• When joining the tour, please remember to bring original documents: Visa (for overseas Vietnamese guests), Passport.
• In the event that guests are not permitted to exit or enter the country for personal reasons or at the request of national security of the two countries Vietnam – Cambodia, Cambodia Travel Company will not be responsible and will not bear arising costs nor refund the tour price (in the case where guests cannot travel).
• The order of sightseeing points may change due to objective incidents such as: weather, traffic… but will still ensure all points listed in the programme are visited.
• In cases of force majeure such as: terrorism, riots, natural disasters, changes in airline or train schedules… Cambodia Travel Company will proactively change the itinerary or cancel the tour for the convenience and safety of guests and is not responsible for compensation of any arising costs.
• Personal documents such as Passport, Visa, money, valuables… please keep them with you, or deposit them at the hotel reception in case of risks. Cambodia Travel Company is not responsible for any case where guests lose documents or personal property.

A. USEFUL INFORMATION FOR TRAVELLING IN CAMBODIA

a. Meeting time and place:

On the morning of departure, please gather at 04h05 at the company office. At exactly 04h15 the vehicle will depart; the company is not responsible if guests do not gather on time.

When taking a taxi to the meeting point, please pay inside the car; do not take out money or your wallet to pay after getting out of the car.

Be careful with your luggage; it is best to put it in the vehicle’s luggage compartment as soon as you meet the Tour Leader of Cambodia Travel Company.

c. Before the trip:

Please bring your Passport (original); if you are an overseas Vietnamese or foreign guest, bring 2 additional 4 x 6 photos for the Vietnam re-entry visa (if applicable).

Pack light for 4 days; it is best to divide into two types: carry-on luggage for items needed on the vehicle, and luggage stored in the vehicle’s compartment, which should be in a moderate-sized suitcase and avoid taking things in and out to prevent confusion and loss.

The company prepares a medical kit, but guests should bring commonly used medicines suited to their own constitution, or specific treatment medicines (if undergoing medical treatment).

B. A FEW MORE NOTES

a. Information and communication:

Cambodia and Vietnam share the same time zone.

Cambodian currency: 1 USD exchanges for about 4,000 riel; 1,000 riel exchanges for 5,500 VND; USD is widely used in Cambodia.

The main means of transport is Tuk Tuk at about 5 USD/ hour/ 5 people; motorbike taxi (moto) at about 1 USD/ trip/ person.

Please remember to get the phone numbers of the local Guide and the Company Tour Leader. When going out, please bring the hotel’s name card for easy navigation.

b. Customs:

Vietnam Customs regulations: you may not carry more than 3,000 USD in cash when exiting the country. Duty-free purchases are allowed for values up to 300 USD. You may not carry more than 300gr of jewellery.

Guests bringing a Camera should declare it in the customs declaration form to avoid being taxed upon re-entry into Vietnam.

If bringing tapes or discs, they must be censored before being taken abroad.

c. Weather and clothing:

Cambodia’s weather is similar to southern Vietnam, with two seasons, rainy and sunny, but little rain and long hot sunny periods; guests should bring suitable clothing and sun protection items.

It is advisable to bring sports shoes or sandals with back straps for easy walking at sites with large grounds such as: the Royal Palace, Angkor…

On the afternoon of the third day, according to the itinerary visiting the Royal Palace, please wear respectful clothing: shirts that do not expose the neck, with sleeves, trousers reaching the ankles, and skirts extending past the knees.

d. Dining – entertainment – shopping:

The taste of Cambodian dishes is similar to southern Vietnam, so guests can feel at ease. In case of vegetarian or special diets, please inform us when booking the tour.

Dining out is similar to Vietnam, so guests can enjoy food outside the programme, but should choose well-ventilated and hygienic places.

When shopping locally, guests can bargain.

Going out in the evening is quite safe, but avoid going alone or to deserted places; going in a group by Tuk Tuk is very interesting and fun.

Guests can visit night entertainment areas such as: casinos (the famous Naga casino in Phnom Penh), the Khao San Road area, music cafes, dining streets… The local Guide or Tour Leader will show guests the way.

e. General notes:

For the tour to be complete, please follow the management of the local Guide and the Cambodia Travel Company Tour Leader regarding gathering times, sightseeing…

When sightseeing, please stay with the group (the Guide holds the Cambodia Travel Company flag) to hear the commentary and avoid getting lost.

In the evening when going out, please leave your Passport and valuables at the hotel (the Passport can be given to the Tour Leader).

Be careful when moving around sightseeing sites; do not stand or climb in unsafe places. Be careful when walking on the road and crossing the street. Families with children please watch and look after the children carefully.

Older guests or those with high blood pressure should not walk up Bakheng hill; instead, they can ride an elephant up or stroll around other temples in the area.

To keep the tourism environment clean and sustainable, please do not litter in public places, climb on or write or draw on relics. Always respect and preserve the cultural identity of the places you visit.
