Tour itinerary

Day 01: HO CHI MINH CITY – SIEM REAP (breakfast, lunch, dinner)

04:05: The tour guide of Cambodia Travel Company picks you up at the meeting point at the Ho Chi Minh City Post Office, and departs for Cambodia.

You have breakfast in Trang Bang – Tay Ninh with the famous banh canh specialty. Afterwards, you complete border procedures at Bavet (Moc Bai) border gate between Vietnam and Cambodia to enter the land of pagodas.

9:00: The journey continues. At 11:30 the group arrives in Prey Veng province and has lunch at a local restaurant.

13:00: Continue to Siem Reap. You stop to visit and take photos of the bridge built a thousand years ago that has been recognised by UNESCO.

Enjoy the delicious palm sugar honeycomb cake typical of the Khmer people (at your own expense).

17:00: The group arrives in Siem Reap, checks in and rests. Afterwards, have dinner at a restaurant in Siem Reap. Free time to explore Siem Reap at night.

Day 02: DISCOVER SIEM REAP (3 meals included)

Morning: Breakfast at the hotel. Visit the South Gate of ANGKOR THOM, the largest palace. The giant 4-faced BAYON statues – the faces of “joy – anger – love – hate”, and the artistic bas-reliefs.

TAPROHM Temple – home to pine trees that have lived for hundreds of years with unique root systems, once used by Hollywood as the setting for the film TOMB RAIDER “THE SECRET OF THE ANCIENT TOMB”.

You will continue to visit ANGKOR WAT temple, built more than 1,000 years ago and recognised by UNESCO as the 7th Wonder of the World. The group has lunch and relaxes here.

Afternoon: You conquer the peak of Angkor, where you are free to watch the sunset on the summit of Angkor and capture the beautiful sunset moment at Angkor.

Have dinner with many dishes full of distinctive Khmer flavours at

Cambodia. The car takes you back to check in and rest, and continue exploring Siem Reap city at night.

Day 03: SIEM REAP – PHNOM PENH – (3 meals included)

Morning: Breakfast at the hotel. The car picks you up and departs for Phnom Penh, lunch at a local restaurant. Hotel check-in.

Afternoon: Visit the Royal Palace (Royal Residence), the Silver Pagoda with its floor paved with 5,329 silver tiles, each weighing 1.1 kg, where a solid gold Buddha statue weighing 90 kg and studded with 2,086 diamonds is worshipped, and a nearly 1 m tall Emerald Buddha statue.

Visit the INDEPENDENCE MONUMENT – the MEMORIAL TO VIETNAMESE VOLUNTEER SOLDIERS. On the way back to the hotel, you admire the beauty of the capital Phnom Penh along the romantic Mekong River, or you can try your luck at NAGAR CASINO (at your own expense).

Day 04: PHNOM PENH – NEW MARKET SHOPPING – HO CHI MINH CITY (breakfast, lunch)

7:00: Have breakfast at the hotel, complete check-out procedures. Afterwards, visit the New Market to buy Cambodian specialties.

The group has lunch and continues the journey

The group departs back to Ho Chi Minh City. The company’s tour guide sees you off to the original departure point. The tour ends, we say goodbye and look forward to seeing you again.

Tour price for 4-star and 3-star hotels: 5,350,000 VND/ guest

Tour price for 4-star and 4-star hotels: 5,550,000 VND/ guest

TICKET PRICES FOR CHILDREN:

• Children under 2 years old: 1,000,000 VND, pay for any additional services yourself if costs arise. Shares a bed with the family.
• Children from 2 to under 5 years old: 50% of the adult tour price. Entitlements: meals, insurance. Shares a bed with the family.
• Children from 5 to under 11 years old: 75% of the adult tour price. Entitlements: meals, seat on the vehicle, insurance. Shares a bed with the family; if a separate bed is required, 100% of the tour price is charged.
• Children from 11 years old and above: charged at the adult tour price.

TOUR BOOKING CONDITIONS:

• Passport valid for at least 6 months (counted up to the tour end date).
• Guests with foreign nationality must have a Vietnam entry visa valid up to the departure date.
• Guests exempt from Vietnam visas must not exceed 90 days from the entry date to the tour end date.
• Please provide complete and accurate personal information such as: Full Name as on ID card or passport, phone number, contact address…

Please pay a deposit:

• Adults: 3,000,000 VND,
• Children: 1,500,000 VND when booking the tour, and pay the full amount 2 days before the departure date.

TOUR CANCELLATION POLICY:

• Cancellation 3 days before departure: deposit is non-refundable.
• Cancellation 2 days before departure: 50% penalty on the total tour price.
• Cancellation 1 day before departure: 75% penalty on the total tour price.
• Cancellation within 24 hours before departure time: 100% penalty on the total tour price.

Note: the days mentioned above are counted as working days only

NOTES:

• Guests with Vietnamese, Singaporean, Philippine, Lao or Malaysian nationality are exempt from Cambodia visas.
• In cases of force majeure such as: terrorism, riots, natural disasters, changes in airline or train schedules… Cambodia Travel Company will proactively change the itinerary or cancel the tour for the convenience and safety of guests and is not responsible for compensating any arising costs.
• When joining the tour, please remember to bring original documents: Visa (for overseas Vietnamese guests), Passport.
• In the event that you are not allowed to exit or enter the country for personal reasons or at the request of national security of the two countries Vietnam – Cambodia, Cambodia Travel Company will not be responsible and will not bear any arising costs nor refund the tour price (in the case where the guest cannot travel).
• The order of attractions may change due to objective incidents such as: weather, traffic… but will still ensure all attractions listed in the programme are visited.
• In cases of force majeure such as: terrorism, riots, natural disasters, changes in airline or train schedules… Cambodia Travel Company will proactively change the itinerary or cancel the tour for the convenience and safety of guests and is not responsible for compensating any arising costs.
• Personal documents such as Passport, Visa, money, valuables… Please keep them with you, or leave them at the hotel reception in case of risks. Cambodia Travel Company is not responsible for any case where you lose documents or personal property.

A. THINGS TO KNOW WHEN TRAVELLING TO CAMBODIA

a. Meeting time and place:

• On the morning of the departure date, please gather at 04:45 at the Company office. The vehicle departs at 5:00 sharp; the Company is not responsible if guests do not gather on time.
• When taking a taxi to the meeting point, please pay the fare inside the taxi; do not take out money or your wallet to pay after getting out of the taxi.
• Be careful with your luggage; it is best to put it in the vehicle compartment as soon as you meet the Tour Leader of Cambodia Travel Company.

c. Preparing before the trip:

• Please bring your Passport (original); if you are an overseas Vietnamese or a foreign guest, bring 2 additional 4 x 6 photos to apply for a Vietnam re-entry visa (if any).
• Pack light for 4 days; it is advisable to divide into 2 types: carry-on luggage for items needed on the vehicle, and luggage stored in the vehicle compartment which should be in a medium-sized suitcase and avoid taking things in and out to prevent confusion and loss.
• The company prepares a medical kit, but you should bring medicines you usually use that suit your constitution, or specific treatment medicines (if you are undergoing treatment).

B. A FEW MORE NOTES

a. Information and communication:

• Cambodia and Vietnam are in the same time zone.
• Cambodian currency: 1 USD exchanges for about 4,000 riel; 1,000 riel exchanges for 5,500 VND; USD is widely used in Cambodia.
• The main means of transport is Tuk Tuk at about 5 USD/ hour/ 5 people; motorbike taxi (moto) at about 1 USD/ trip/ person.

• Please remember to get the phone number of the local Guide and the Company Tour Leader. When going out, please bring the hotel’s name card for easy navigation.

b. Customs:

• Vietnam Customs regulations: you may not carry more than 3,000 USD in cash when exiting the country. Purchases are tax-free when valued at 300 USD or less. You may not carry more than 300gr of jewellery.
• If you bring a Camera, please declare it in the customs declaration form so that you are not taxed when entering Vietnam.
• If you bring tapes or discs, they must be censored before being taken abroad.

c. Weather and clothing:

• The weather in Cambodia is like in Southern Vietnam, with two seasons, rainy and sunny, but little rain and prolonged hot sunshine; please bring appropriate clothing and sun protection items.
• It is advisable to bring sports shoes or sandals with heel straps for convenient walking when visiting places with large grounds such as: the Royal Palace, Angkor…
• On the afternoon of the third day, according to the itinerary visiting the Royal Palace, please wear formal clothing: shirts must not be open-necked and must have sleeves, trousers must be long to the ankles, skirts must be longer than the knees.

d. Dining – entertainment – shopping:

• The taste of food in Cambodia is similar to Southern Vietnam, so you can be assured. If you are vegetarian or on a diet, please inform us before booking the tour.
• Eating and drinking outside is similar to in Vietnam, so you can enjoy cuisine outside the programme, but you should choose cool and hygienic places.
• When shopping locally, you can bargain.
• Going out at night is quite safe, but you should avoid going alone and going to deserted places; going in groups by Tuk Tuk is very interesting and fun.
• You can visit nightlife entertainment areas such as: casinos (the famous Nagar casino in Phnom Penh), the backpacker area, music cafes, food streets… The local Guide or Tour Leader will show you the way.

e. General notes:

• For the tour to be complete, please follow the management of the local Guide and the Tour Leader of Cambodia Travel Company regarding gathering times, sightseeing…
• When visiting, please stay with the group (the Guide holds the flag of Cambodia Travel Company) to listen to the commentary and avoid getting lost.
• In the evening when going out, please leave your Passport and valuables at the hotel (the Passport can be left with the Tour Leader).
• Be careful when moving around at attractions; do not stand or climb in unsafe places. Be careful when walking on the road and crossing the street. Families with children, please watch over and look after the children carefully.
• Elderly guests or those with high blood pressure should not walk up Bakheng Hill; instead, they can ride an elephant up or stroll around other temples in the area.
• To keep the tourism environment clean and sustainable, please do not litter in public places, climb, or write or draw on heritage sites. Always respect and preserve the cultural identity of the place you visit.
